First, congrats to all the winners... what can I say "a'shater ma yemout!".
What surprised me was the level of "compromise". It's obvious there was no competition. I remember after the last elections, someone on this board said that "the king makers" stayed up late into the night going over names deciding who's in and who's out and despite that, that election was close. This time the king looked more like an emperor and decided to kill the opposition before it's born. I was hoping some of the complainers in the council who feel ineffective step aside and let others get in.
My expectations as always are low, all I want this council to do is to stay out of the people private business, clean the town from all the yellow rags and ugly portraits of mullahs, remove that safety hazard "memorial" at the town's entrance, impose a curfew on fireworks and loud and disturbing activities after 10PM and enforce the turn off of bright halogen floodlights and loud speakers by that time as well.
Maybe I should not care since I don't live there, but... I imagine many people feel about these things like I do!
